Office fit-out
A full fit-out of an office floor in a converted Holbeck mill for a growing studio, built over six weekends so the team upstairs could keep working through the week.
The brief
The client was taking on the floor below their existing office and needed it fitted out without disturbing their own staff or the other tenants in the building. Weekday working was off the table from the start.
What we did
- Strip-out of the previous tenant’s partitions and ceilings
- Glazed meeting rooms and acoustic partitions
- Exposed services cleaned, painted and re-routed
- LED lighting and new small power to every desk position
- Kitchen and breakout area
- Accessible WC and shower
- Fire alarm extension and emergency lighting
The tricky part
The building had one goods lift, shared with three other businesses. We agreed a weekend lift schedule with the landlord, ran every delivery and waste collection on Saturday mornings, and left the stairwells clean enough that nobody arriving on Monday could tell we’d been in.
Result
Handed over on the sixth weekend. The team moved their desks downstairs the following Monday.
