What we collect
When you send an enquiry we collect your name, email address, phone number, the postcode of the property and anything you tell us about the project, including drawings or photos you choose to upload. If you become a client we also hold your address, contract details and payment records.
Why we use it
- To reply to your enquiry, arrange a survey and prepare a quote.
- To carry out and manage the work under our contract with you.
- To meet our legal obligations, such as building regulations, health and safety and tax records.
We rely on your consent to reply to enquiries, on our contract with you once work is agreed, and on legal obligation for statutory records. We never sell your details or use them for unrelated marketing.
Who we share it with
Only the people who need it to deliver your project: our designers, engineers and specialist subcontractors, building control, and the services we use to run the business, such as email and accounting software. Each is required to keep your information secure.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that don’t go ahead are deleted after 12 months. Client records are kept for seven years after the work is finished, to cover guarantees and our legal obligations.
Your rights
You can ask to see the information we hold about you, have it corrected or deleted, or object to how we use it. Email us and we’ll respond within a month. If you’re unhappy with how we’ve handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
